Old School Type 1.5

The general motivations behind the cards on the banned list you see below are:

(a) to offer gameplay that reflects the cards most of us actually owned during 93/94

(b) to promote creativity, showcasing a balanced and diverse set of viable deck archetypes

(c) to ensure a color balance within the format (e.g. not every good deck needs to be blue, etc.)

(d) to encourage cards that are too uncommonly played in traditional Old School formats

(e) to encourage cards that lead to more pleasant and/or interactive gameplay

(f) to encourage a change in the Type 1.5 metagame (i.e. just shake things up a bit)

Old School Type 1.5 follows the Pacific Old School Rules with the following exceptions:

Deck Construction

In Old School Type 1.5, no cards are restricted. However, the banned list is shown in the photo to the right. Also, cards from Homelands are allowed (nothing from Homelands is banned except the ante card Timmerian Fiends).
